Life is Good!
Dr. Croy enjoys several recreational pursuits in her spare time. She enjoys reading, listening to music, cycling, mountain biking, hiking, and walking her two dogs, Dandy and Tinker. Sparky, her cat, does not participate in the evening walks but does delight in tormenting the dogs on a daily basis!
Among her most memorable excursions are backpacking the Grand Canyon, hot air ballooning over Southern California, road biking in Montana and Wyoming through Yellowstone National Park, and making her way from Santa Fe to Taos via hiking, river rafting, and mountain biking.
In 2009, Dr. Croy completed training to become a Certified Texas Master Naturalist. She is presently exploring the Big Bend Region of Texas and has enjoyed hiking in Big Bend National Park, Big Bend Ranch State Park, Davis Mountains State Park, Davis Mountains Nature Preserve, Balmorhea State Park, Modesta Canyon and the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center, Cibolo Creek Ranch, Alamito Creek Preserve, and the Elephant Mountain Wildlife Management Area. Most recently, she has added the activities of Geocaching and Letterboxing to her list of favorite things to do.
Her less physical pursuits as of late include reading Atlas Shrugged, We the Living, and The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand, each of which she enjoyed immensely and recommends. For lighter reading she enjoys J.A. Jance, Nevada Barr, Sue Grafton, Earlene Fowler, Janet Evanovich, and Lillian Jackson Braun.

Dr. Croy has always enjoyed helping others. She volunteers at two residential treatment centers for adolescents, both of which are located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. More recently, she volunteered at The Soup Kitchen in San Angelo, TX. The Croy family has created a foundation with this purpose in mind., helping others.
